Matcha may be the star abroad, but in Japan, sencha is the tea people reach for every day.

Near Kiyomizu-Gojo Station, our trusted partner Romanza opens the doors of its cozy tea salon to share senchadō, the art of preparing loose-leaf green tea. You’ll watch a tea master at work, then brew your own cup of gyokuro, a premium green tea, paired with a seasonal sweet.

Sessions welcome up to 5 guests, with comfy chairs instead of tatami, so you can simply relax and enjoy the moment.
